Moose Lake Memories

Hi everyone
how are you today?
Today I thought, Some people are saying that it might be the last year that we are going to moose for new years. I don't know whats going to happen, but I thought it would be nice to write down all of my Moose lake memories to have so I can look back on.
The first memory I have at moose lake is being there for summer camp.I don't remember how old I was or what grade I was in. It was my first time going to summer camp. I went to camp with my cousin Sarah.  My favourite activity was archery because I was really fun and I was good at it. During siesta me and Sarah me and Sarah were still up and I was reading Geronimo Stilton and Sarah came into my bed and we read Geronimo Stilton together. When we were reading the book my stomach growled and the both of us started to giggle, and our Councillor shh'ed us and we giggled again and went back to reading. Another memory from me and Sarah at camp was when is was sleeping and there was a thunderstorm. Me and Sarah where in a cabin together, in the middle of the night Sarah came into my bed and asked if she could sleep with me. Now we look at these memories they make us laugh.

I have been to Camp moose lake for as long as I can remember for New Years, except for the year that I went to Mexico. there have been so many memories created there I don't know where to start.
some of you may or may not know that my favourite hand lotion from Bath & Body works is sweet pea.this began one Christmas ago I got sweet pea lotion in my stocking. the first time I used the lotion was at Moose Lake, so now every time I use it, it reminds me of camp moose lake. Another memory I have of moose lake at New years is with Sarah is doing talent shows. when we were little we use to have talent shows. me and Sarah made a little skit called Camp Moose Lake is the greatest place. In the skit Sarah and I would go into the kitchen and we would say everything that you could do at moose and everything that we liked about moose lake.I think back now and it seems kind of weird, but at the time we thought it was the greatest idea. I look back at it now and me and Sarah bring it up sometimes and we have a laugh.
Some people know I don't like skiing. When me and Sarah were younger we went skiing with my dad, my dad went ahead of us over this big hill. Me and Sarah didn't know where he went and we were scared.

Now although this wasn't a good memory at the time, now every time we tell it we laugh.
The biggest memory I have food wise is cinnamon buns! Me, Sarah, My sister, and her sisters helped make cinnamon buns at New Years. It is always tradition to make cinnamon buns on the first night. we would have so much fun making and eating the cinnamon buns, i would usually sprinkle the brown sugar and the cinnamon, I always look forward to having great Moose lake cinnamon buns!
I have made these cinnamon buns at home a couple times, but its definitely not the same.

The most recent memory that I will always remember is volunteering at Camp Moose Lake in the kitchen for two weeks.
This past summer I volunteered in the kitchen at moose lake. If you want to go read about my week and camp you can go check out my first and second week volunteering at moose in the kitchen.
The first week was juniors. the first day I got there and I was't sure how it was going to be. As soon as I got out my van a girl who was also working in the kitchen showed me which cabin to put my stuff in. Everybody in the kitchen was so nice and we had a fun week, although some days and meals were more stressful than others.
My favourite meal that I had would probably have to be theme meal. the these was fairytale so we all dressed up like fairytale characters. The first week some of the staff made a little skit. For the meal we made potato wedges and chicken strips, and of course salad.
My second week at Moose Lake was junior high week. This week was alittle more stressful because we had a lot of people, like atleast 50 people to cook for. This week there was new people in the kitchen. since I had worked the week before everyone was asking me where stuff was. The theme was the same, it was still fairytale but this week we had rice with meatballs, italian bread, and a garden salad.
At camp, in the kitchen if you were serving stuff like fries or chilli, you were considered liked by the the staff and kids, or there favourite. if you you got stuck with serving vegetables, salad or even fruit you considered unlike by the staff and kids. this was a joke that started at the first week of camp, and some of the staff that stayed from the first week carried it on and the staff told the kids. i guess.
My favourite snack was cauldren donuts.
We were suppose to have cauldren donuts the firrst week, but it was raining so we baked them. the staff the kitchen staff included were pretty upset because they were looking forward to fried donuts.
The second week when we tried donuts again it was sunny do we were able to make cauldren donuts. the staff were so excited about donuts! they were so good. There were a lot of leftover donut so after the kids had snack me and the kitchen staff went back to the kitchen and ate a bunch of donuts.
I have had so many great memories at Moose lake  and I hope iI can continue to create more memories.
I would like to know if you have any good camp memories or any camping memories?
