First week volunteering at Camp Moose Lake in the kitchen 2016 part two

Hello,
This is part two of my first week at Camp Moose Lake.

 Wednesday August. 10th
Today I woke up feeling not that great. I spent most of my day in bed reading and taking a long nap.
 In the evening I was feeling better, so I went back into the kitchen to help serve supper. For supper we had perogies, farmer sausage and peas. After we cleaned up supper, I went to fireside, after fireside I went to bed.

 Thursday August 11th
Today is the last full day of camp for the juniors.
 This morning for breakfast we had French toast with syrup, bacon and fruit. We finished up serving and eating breakfast, and then we cleaned it up. After breakfast was done, we started chopping toppings for lunch. We had a break after that.  The maintenance people made a fire by the mini lodge, Sarah and I went to join them to roast marshmallows.
 Our break was over, so we headed back into the kitchen to assemble pizzas. We had pepperoni, cheese, deluxe, perogies, and vegetarian pizza. and carrots and celery.
   If you have ever worked at Moose lake as a staff or in the kitchen, then you will know that pizza is always a favourite, and is finished with minimal or no leftover! Lunch all cleaned up and  the dishes were put away, so it was time for my break. During my break I relaxed and wrote in my journal. My break was over, so I headed back to the kitchen to make supper.
 Tonight was theme meal. the theme was Olympics, since the Olympics were going on. it seemed like a good theme to have. We came up with the idea that we would come up with names for the food. We thought of Synchronized spaghetti with 400 "meat"-er race (sauce), "ski"-sar salad, and gold medal garlic bread. Everybody thought the names were great. For dessert we had jello shaped into rings, as the Olympic rings.
Night snack was ice cream with chocolate cookies, with chocolate and caramel sauce. the kitchen was all cleaned up, and I went to fireside and then to the mini to sit upstairs and hang out. it was getting late so I went to bed.

  Friday August 12th
Friday is the last day of junior week.
 For breakfast we had waffles with syrup, fruit, yogurt and cereal. breakfast was done, and cleaned up. we started on lunch after breakfast. Lunch was all ready to go, I just had to take it outside to the picnic tables by the mini lodge. For lunch we had chicken burgers, veggies, chips, and vegetarian chili. Lunch was served and ate. we loaded up the gator to take everything back to the kitchen, and cleaned up lunch.
 After we cleaned up lunch, we did the end of the week kitchen clean. We finished cleaning just in time for the end of the week program. the program was over, and all the campers were gone. we had a staff meeting, In the staff meeting we talked about when we felt most connected or in the moment. I said that I felt in the moment at fireside. Nothing particular about fireside, but sitting on the log, singing and listening to peoples stories, it just felt beautiful.
 Some of the other staff were staying the weekend. for supper we took out some leftovers. I had spaghetti, peas and chicken. for dessert I had a cookie with a chai tea latte. After supper we wanted to watch a movie or two, At first we wanted to watch cheaper by the dozen one and two. we were looking through the movies that they had, and we found the new parent trap. The movie started late, and I was really tired, so I didn't make it very long. I went to bed.

  Saturday August 13th
This morning I slept in until 11:00, and it felt great! When I woke up, I didn't get out of bed right away. I read for a while. by the time I got out of bed and dressed, it was lunch time. some of the staff made cheese bagels and tomato soup, so that's what I had for lunch. After I finished lunch I went back to the mini to read city of glass and have a shower.
 I took this day to do pretty much nothing and just relax. it was getting close to supper time, and I was getting a bit hungry. I went in the kitchen to find something to eat for supper. some of the staff were in the kitchen talking about going to Roseau for supper. Five of us went to Earls drive-inn. I had chicken fingers and fries. When we were finished eating we headed back.
 by the time we got back, it was late so I went to bed.

I hope you enjoyed reading the second half of my first week of my week. My week is too long so I have to split it up in parts, so look for part two and  the rest of weeks.
