Third week volunteering at Camp Moose Lake in the kitchen part one

Hello,
I hope you like reading about my weeks at camp.

 Sunday August 21st
This morning I woke up at 9:00, and went to the lodge to have some frosted flakes and tea while we watched Aladdin. After the movie was finished I went to the mini to take a shower, and read until the staff meeting. After the staff meeting I went to the kitchen to make supper. for supper we had burritos with  beans and carrots. supper was really good. after supper was cleaned up, I had a break.
During my break I went out and sat on the picnic bench while all the camper were arriving. After they all came they went to go play R.E.C, I sat and watched them play. It was getting close to snack time, so I went to the kitchen to help prepare the cinnamon buns. snack was over so I cleaned up the kitchen for the day and went to bed. I have never worked a youth week before, so I didn't exactly know the schedule, normally staff have there night off, and I don't go to bed right away because I know that they would keep me up. this week I didn't know if anyone would be talking there nights off, so I stayed up a bit. after a while I just went to bed. no one took there night off so I could go to bed.

 Monday August 22nd
This morning I woke up on time.
For breakfast we made Pancakes, fruit and sausage. Breakfast was over, and I started making brownies for dessert. While the brownies cooling off I went to devo's. I made the icing and put it on the brownies, after that I had a break so I went to bible.  Bible was over. I, being the expert at getting the outdoors stuff ready, (since I am the only one who does it.) that is what I did. lunch was taco salad with corn on the cob, outside by the mini lodge. after lunch we had brownies. During my weeks at camp, the sheet brownie has become my favourite dessert.  After we brought everything back into the kitchen and cleaned up, I had a break until 4:30. During my break I took a nap. my break was over, and time to go back to the kitchen to start on supper. When I got into the kitchen, supper was pretty much made.  I put away the clean dishes while supper was cooking. Supper was pasta with alfredo sauce, chicken, and cesear salad. This meal was not a typical camp meal, but it was really good.  After supper was finished I clean up and then went back to my room to write in my journal, and read my book. I went to bed after that.

 Tuesday August 23rd
This morning I woke up to a loud beeping noise. I am not to sure what it was, but it got me up.
I got dressed and hen headed to the kitchen. this morning for breakfast we made scrambled eggs, toast, cereal, and yogurt. I was in charge of making the toast. Breakfast was all done and cleaned up, so we started getting campout stuff ready. My job was to make the spice mix for campers stew, campout takes a while to get all the stuff together.  For lunch we were making farmer sausages burgers and cucumber salad. After the campers had finished lunch they went to go pack up there things for campout, and left some what shortly after that. After the dishes were done I was done for the day, so I went back to the mini lodge to take a nap. It was supper time by the time I woke up from my nap, so I went to the lodge to find some supper. For supper I had leftover pasta with alfredo sauce and chicken. I went to the mini after supper, and in the loft they have a little T.V, and I had brought my movies, so I watched the 7th Harry Potter part 2, and The Perks Of Being A Wallflower. After the movies had ended I went to bed. it was nice to be the only one in the mini lodge.

 Wednesday August 24th
Today I got to sleep in a bit because everyone was still on camp out. I had cereal for breakfast, and then we got lunch ready to take on camp out. Lunch was Hot dogs, veggies, and cookies for dessert. We had everything packed up and ready, we were just waiting for the van to come. the van was taking to long so we took the barge. we packed all are things on to the gaiter and drove it down to the barge.  It didn't take to long to get there as it was just across the lake. We got to the site and unloaded and set up lunch, and started to make a fire to cook the hot dogs. We and some staff served lunch. after everyone was finished there hot dogs we went and pasted around chocolate chip cookies. I ate lunch. and then we cleaned up every thing and loaded it into the van. I went back on the barge. I helped nut away everything when we got back. Everything was done and I had a break, on my break I read my book and did a little bit of writing. In the evening I went back in the kitchen to get the outdoor stuff ready for having cauldron fries and chili down by the water front. The chili was pretty much done, and the fries were taken care of so I got supper set up. This meal is always a hit with very group, and I agree! After supper was over we all cleaned up, I hadn't eaten yet so I took my food back to the kitchen and ate it. after that I was really tired so after reading for a bit I went to bed.

Summer travelling

Hello, Welcome back.
 this summer I am travelling to Europe.
This trip started with my parents, my aunt and uncles, and my Grandma and Grandpa going on a cruise in the Baltic sea for there anniversary. The cruise takes off in Germany, so my parents were thinking of going early and spending some time in Germany. it was my sister who came up with this idea that we could come along and sort of make a trip of our own, then my other sister wanted to go to Paris to.  Long story short, who knows how long later we finally figured out where we are going and In what order. 
 My whole family is flying to Paris. we are all going to spend like 3 days in Paris, going to the Louvre, Cloud Monet's house, the Eiffel tower, and some other things. that's just the stuff that my sisters had in mind, I want to go some of those things to, to an extent. I also want to do some things that I want to do, but I can't think of think of things either than going to French patisserie to have Macaroons and tea, Éclairs, Croissants, Madeleines, and Crepes. I don't know of anything else that I would like to do or go see. I guess I just want to see Paris. I know that some people of France read my blog, so if any of you are for France that have any suggestions would be lovely.
 after the 3 or so days in Paris my parents are going to leave and go to Kampan in Holland, and us 3 would stay in Paris for a couple more days.
 From Paris we would go to Kampan and spend a couple days there exploring, and probably biking.
 After Kampan we are taking the train to Amsterdam, and spending a day there. I'm not to sure what we are going to do. We haven't figured out all the details yet.
 From Amsterdam my sisters and I are going to fly home, and my parents will go to Germany, where there cruise will start.
  I am really excited for this trip and I can't wait for the summer! I have never been to Europe before, so this is going to be a new adventure. I can't wait!!!

First job - Gillis Play and Learn Centre.

Hello,
Its been awhile since I have written something, but here I am. back again.
  I want to tell you guys what my first job experience has been.

  I started volunteering at the Gillis Play and Learn Centre in mid January. 
I started with volunteering Monday and Wednesday's, and then I started subbing.
   My experience there so far has been great!  The first day I walked in I was nervous, as soon as I went to go sit down with the kids, a couple of them came to hug me, sit with me and say hello. they were so cute, and friendly. it calmed me down a bit.  I got to know the kids a little bit that day, and did dishes. they have a dishwasher, but it was broken. There were quite a bit of dishes, but that wasn't the biggest problem. The water in the sinks didn't stay in the sinks, so I either had to find a creative way to keep the water in the sink, keep re-filling the sink, or keep the water running.  Either way it took me a while to wash the dishes. by the time I was done morning snack dishes, I had to wash the lunch dishes. It didn't take long before the dish washer was fixed, so I only had a few days of washing all the dishes. The second day I was a little quicker with washing the dishes.
 After I got to spend time playing with the kids.  As the weeks went by I started to get to know the kids a little better, and I started to understood how things worked. 
 If you liked reading this and would like to know how its going now, I don't know if I should do another one, maybe monthly. I would love to hear what people think.

Blogmas Day 23 - Last minute shopping

welcome to Blogmas day 23!
Only 1 more day until Christmas! its Christmas Eve-eve. Tomorrow is Christmas eve!
Today me and my mom did a little last minute Christmas shopping.
we didn't want to go until I made a plan of where I wanted to go and what I wanted to buy. I did not have a clue on what to buy. I just had a few presents to buy. we went to St. vital mall to go to chapters. I bought my gift and then we left the mall, we slowly made our way to superstore to pick up a few groceries. Superstore was really busy.
 we usually have eggs Benedicta for brunch, and then later in the day we usually have a family gathering to go to. this year we don't, so we decided last minute that we would make roast chicken, stuffing and potatoes for supper. We were finally done at superstore, but we needed to go to Sobeys after because they didn't have any butter or parsley. After we finished that we headed home.
when we got home we unloaded the groceries, and supper was ready. we had pizza. while we ate we watched Disney's a Christmas carol. I have been waiting to watch this movie all year!
 I went upstairs to wrap some my presents and write. I went to bed after that.

 So tomorrow is Christmas eve, I will probably be getting home late which means that tomorrows post will likely go up on Christmas. if that's ok with you.
I have had so much fun writing Blogmas, and I am sad that Blogmas is ending.

Blogmas Day 22 - Shopping & and more cookie baking

Welcome,
Only 2 more days until Christmas! how exciting is that?
Good Morning.
today I went with my sister to the dentist and to go shopping. Today we bought a present for my mom, and I bought a present for my secret Santa. after we were done shopping, and at the dentist we went to the bank and coffee culture to get hot chocolate and a cookie. I got home and went to put the stuff in my room, and wrapped my secret Santa present. I was finished just in time for supper. After supper I finished baking the pfeffernusse with my dad, we finally finished baking them. We now have so many cookies, its kind of insane! after the cookies were done I went to go watch A Christmas story. then after I went up to my room to write. Then I went to bed.

Blogmas Day 21 - Baking my pfeffernusse cookies & christmas excitment

Welcome,
Only 3 more days until Christmas! I can't believe Christmas is this Sunday. December feels like its flying by so fast.
Today me and my dad went to Steinbach to go grocery shopping and a few things.
Today was sort of a boring day.  After we got home we brought in the groceries, and I unloaded the dishwasher while he unloaded the groceries. I was done and then I went my room to read.
After a wile supper was ready, so I went downstairs. I made some hot chocolate and watched The beginning of Arthur Christmas. I baked the pfeffernusse cookies after. They turned out really good and I couldn't stop eating them. there was so much dough, and it took so long so I didn't make all the cookies. Tomorrow I will have to finish them. I washed a few dishes and then went to bed.

Blogmas Day 20 - Pfeffernusse cookies

Hello,
only 4 more days until Christmas!
Today I woke up and had some breakfast. After I sat on the couch on my phone, and deciding if I should make cookies or not. I decided to make cookies. I was going to make peppermint cookies but we didn't have any sour cream, so I made pfeffernusse (Peppernut) cookies. When I looked it up online the translation was Gingerbread biscuit. I made the dough but I didn't put them in the oven because I had to chill them, so I decided to bake them tomorrow. I finished making the dough, and then I had some left overs for a late lunch. I went to go watch some TV after I had lunch. My mom came home, and made supper. After I ate supper I left to go to my physio appointment.
During my physio appointment my parents went to do some Christmas shopping, by the time I was done my dad was still at the mall. me and my mom did some shopping while my dad finished up. I bought one Christmas present!  When I got home I had some fudge. and finished the end of a movie. I am not sure what it was but my sister was watching it. After that I went to bed to write.  After I was done I went to bed.
