First job - Gillis Play and Learn Centre.

Hello,
Its been awhile since I have written something, but here I am. back again.
  I want to tell you guys what my first job experience has been.

  I started volunteering at the Gillis Play and Learn Centre in mid January. 
I started with volunteering Monday and Wednesday's, and then I started subbing.
   My experience there so far has been great!  The first day I walked in I was nervous, as soon as I went to go sit down with the kids, a couple of them came to hug me, sit with me and say hello. they were so cute, and friendly. it calmed me down a bit.  I got to know the kids a little bit that day, and did dishes. they have a dishwasher, but it was broken. There were quite a bit of dishes, but that wasn't the biggest problem. The water in the sinks didn't stay in the sinks, so I either had to find a creative way to keep the water in the sink, keep re-filling the sink, or keep the water running.  Either way it took me a while to wash the dishes. by the time I was done morning snack dishes, I had to wash the lunch dishes. It didn't take long before the dish washer was fixed, so I only had a few days of washing all the dishes. The second day I was a little quicker with washing the dishes.
 After I got to spend time playing with the kids.  As the weeks went by I started to get to know the kids a little better, and I started to understood how things worked. 
 If you liked reading this and would like to know how its going now, I don't know if I should do another one, maybe monthly. I would love to hear what people think.

Blogmas Day 23 - Last minute shopping

welcome to Blogmas day 23!
Only 1 more day until Christmas! its Christmas Eve-eve. Tomorrow is Christmas eve!
Today me and my mom did a little last minute Christmas shopping.
we didn't want to go until I made a plan of where I wanted to go and what I wanted to buy. I did not have a clue on what to buy. I just had a few presents to buy. we went to St. vital mall to go to chapters. I bought my gift and then we left the mall, we slowly made our way to superstore to pick up a few groceries. Superstore was really busy.
 we usually have eggs Benedicta for brunch, and then later in the day we usually have a family gathering to go to. this year we don't, so we decided last minute that we would make roast chicken, stuffing and potatoes for supper. We were finally done at superstore, but we needed to go to Sobeys after because they didn't have any butter or parsley. After we finished that we headed home.
when we got home we unloaded the groceries, and supper was ready. we had pizza. while we ate we watched Disney's a Christmas carol. I have been waiting to watch this movie all year!
 I went upstairs to wrap some my presents and write. I went to bed after that.

 So tomorrow is Christmas eve, I will probably be getting home late which means that tomorrows post will likely go up on Christmas. if that's ok with you.
I have had so much fun writing Blogmas, and I am sad that Blogmas is ending.

Blogmas Day 22 - Shopping & and more cookie baking

Welcome,
Only 2 more days until Christmas! how exciting is that?
Good Morning.
today I went with my sister to the dentist and to go shopping. Today we bought a present for my mom, and I bought a present for my secret Santa. after we were done shopping, and at the dentist we went to the bank and coffee culture to get hot chocolate and a cookie. I got home and went to put the stuff in my room, and wrapped my secret Santa present. I was finished just in time for supper. After supper I finished baking the pfeffernusse with my dad, we finally finished baking them. We now have so many cookies, its kind of insane! after the cookies were done I went to go watch A Christmas story. then after I went up to my room to write. Then I went to bed.

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve-eve-eve. its getting closer!

Blogmas Day 21 - Baking my pfeffernusse cookies & christmas excitment

Welcome,
Only 3 more days until Christmas! I can't believe Christmas is this Sunday. December feels like its flying by so fast.
Today me and my dad went to Steinbach to go grocery shopping and a few things.
Today was sort of a boring day.  After we got home we brought in the groceries, and I unloaded the dishwasher while he unloaded the groceries. I was done and then I went my room to read.
After a wile supper was ready, so I went downstairs. I made some hot chocolate and watched The beginning of Arthur Christmas. I baked the pfeffernusse cookies after. They turned out really good and I couldn't stop eating them. there was so much dough, and it took so long so I didn't make all the cookies. Tomorrow I will have to finish them. I washed a few dishes and then went to bed.

Blogmas Day 20 - Pfeffernusse cookies

Hello,
only 4 more days until Christmas!
Today I woke up and had some breakfast. After I sat on the couch on my phone, and deciding if I should make cookies or not. I decided to make cookies. I was going to make peppermint cookies but we didn't have any sour cream, so I made pfeffernusse (Peppernut) cookies. When I looked it up online the translation was Gingerbread biscuit. I made the dough but I didn't put them in the oven because I had to chill them, so I decided to bake them tomorrow. I finished making the dough, and then I had some left overs for a late lunch. I went to go watch some TV after I had lunch. My mom came home, and made supper. After I ate supper I left to go to my physio appointment.
During my physio appointment my parents went to do some Christmas shopping, by the time I was done my dad was still at the mall. me and my mom did some shopping while my dad finished up. I bought one Christmas present!  When I got home I had some fudge. and finished the end of a movie. I am not sure what it was but my sister was watching it. After that I went to bed to write.  After I was done I went to bed.

Blogmas Day 19 - Lazy day

Hello,
5 more days until Christmas!
I am getting excited for Christmas. Mostly for the eggs Benedict breakfast that we have every Christmas morning. I also love the feeling of waking up and knowing its Christmas morning. I feel like a kid.
This morning I woke up late.
By the time I got up it was 12:00 so I had some lunch.  I didn't really do a lot today. I did a lot of baking last week, plus I didn't know what to do today. I don't have a lot to say because I did next to nothing.
Christmas is coming up soon. and I haven't done Christmas shopping or Christmas baking for me and my family.
 Christmas can be a stressful time for some people. going to think of what to get for people or who to buy for. The thought of going shopping or going to stores, or to malls can be scary, or it can be something that your not looking forward to. This should be a fun thing to do, for some people it is something that they want to do and get over with. For some people it can be just the stress of Christmas, but for some people it can bring them anxiety of being in crowded shops or malls.
 Anyways its getting late so I should end this and then go to bed.

Blogmas Day 18 - Christmas pageant

Hello,
Good Morning,
6 days until Christmas!
This morning I woke up early to put the boxes of treats together before church.
 Today at church was the Sunday school Christmas pageant. my class were the angels singing Gloria.  After church we went to Tim Horton's for lunch. we did some quick grocery shopping and then went home. I had a nap on the way home. When we got home I chilled in my room.
After a while I went to go watch some TV. for supper my dad made honey mustard wings, with cheese , pickles and crackers.  We all watched a Christmas movie. When the movie was over I went to bed to write.
 its getting so close to Christmas. one week away, and I haven't' done any Christmas shopping, or Christmas baking for us. 
Its getting late so I am going to go to bed.
